Here we go again. The White water Ride is back for another go. We will be riding to Buena Vista for a great time of white water rafting. River Runners has various classes of rides. They offer the Milk Run which is described as a float trip. The ride lasts about 1 ½ hours and costs approximately $25. They also offer the Browns Canyon trip and the Numbers trip. Browns Canyon has some Class III and Class IV white water. We had a great time on this ride last year. This year, we will be a little more adventurous and try the Numbers ride. The cost of this ride is $60 for the half day ride. They rent wet suits, booties and a jacket to help keep you dry and warmer. They are recommended at this time of the year, June 21, as the water will be refreshing. You will need some swimming attire and they have places to change. The numbers ride leaves at 9:30 AM. We will need to be at their office at 9:00 AM. Leaving at 6:15 should give us enough time but we can’t dilly dally. The parking lot has a little gravel but is fine. Bring a good snack for before the rafting. We will be able to go to lunch after the rafting. After lunch we can decide the return route back to Denver. Reservations are recommended. They require a 50% deposit at the time of reservation and the remainder 2 weeks prior to the rafting. You can call the rafting company at 1-800-723-8987 and add your name to the list at any time. This should be a fun and enjoyable outing.
