While most of you have never heard of Thomas J. Dial Jr., he had a huge impact on my life. At the age of 7 he took me into his home and raised me. I am (for better or worse) the man I am today because of his influence.

He was an avid motorcyclist who almost lost his leg in a bike wreck in 1978. Shortly thereafter, he sold his 1976 Goldwing and got out of riding for a bit. In 2001 he purchased a 1983 Aspencade from a close friend. He and I did many rides together until he was taken by cancer. He passed away in March of 2007 and his son Royce, received his Goldwing. This same bike will accompany us on this Memorial Ride, with his son hopefully riding it with us.

Total Miles: 259
