Prices currently posted on Royal Gorge website are for the off—season. Right now, they show $23.00/adult. When Bonnie and I went in 2007, we paid $20.00 each. This price gives you access to all the rides and the historical theatre, but could be subject to change between now and then.

Day One

470 west to Sedalia to Hwy 105 south to Monument. From there find a gas break and head to Royal Gorge Park for lunch and activates. After the Park we will head to

239 mi.

Day Two

Head west on Hwy 92 over to Paonia for lunch. After lunch head to Glenwood Springs, Motel for the Night.

132 mi.

Day Three

Head out to Independence Pass then to Leadville for lunch. After lunch head to I-70 and home.

177 mi.

Ride Total

548 mi.

This is a ride that Bonnie and I took by ourselves last year over Labor day. I have changed it up slightly and reversed the route. The scenery is gorgeous and you will have the opportunity to cross the tallest suspension bridge in the world on your motorcycle. Photo opportunities abound both on the bridge and on the route. Please come join us for some of the best riding roads in the State of Colorado. I know you won't be disappointed!

Day One - Gunnison Lodging:

Arrival date: August 30 2008. I have blocked reservations for 10 rooms under the name Robert Junker and RMVTA.
Rate is $55.00 for 1-2 people in the room ($5.00 for a third).

Day Two - Glenwood Springs Lodging: (this one is a little more complicated)
Caravan Inn
Arrival date: August 31, 2008. It pays to call early on this one due to the rooms already booked by other individuals. These are the available rooms:
4 rooms with queen bed (non-smoking); $98.52
2 rooms with 1 queen bed (smoking): $98.52
4 rooms with 1 king bed (non-smoking): $109.59
(I tried to get all non-smoking rooms...they just dont have that many available). Make your reservation by August 17 or we lose the rooms. They are blocked under Robert Junker / RMVTA. Call 800-945-5495
