The Have-a-Heart Easter Basket project is being sponsored by the RMVTA again this year. The project is broken up into two parts. On Saturday, April 5th, we will assemble the Easter baskets at the Have-a-Heart headquarters. On Saturday, April 12th, we will meet to distribute the Easter baskets. The Easter Bunny will arrive on a motorcycle and the kids just love that. The kids seem to also be fascinated by the large motorcycles. Those who don't mind can allow the kids to sit on the motorcycles.

Dave Menges has asked that we all bring individually wrapped Easter candy to the March meeting so we don't have to purchase so much candy. We are going to prepare 250 Easter baskets this year. These baskets will help put a smile on 250 underprivileged kids' faces.

The meeting place for the April 5th Easter basket assembly is the Safeway parking lot at 74th and Federal (just south of the Boulder Turnpike). We will meet at 3:45 p.m. and depart for the Have-a-Heart headquarters at 4:00 p.m. At the conclusion of the assembly, we will head off to a nearby restaurant. Suggestions are welcome.

The meeting place for the April 12th Easter basket distribution will be the K-Mart parking lot on the northwest corner of I-70 and Federal. We will meet at 7:30 a.m. and leave at 7:45 a.m. We will hand out the Easter baskets from 8:30 am to 10:30 a.m., and then, weather permitting, take a short ride east, some lunch (maybe Bruce's in Severance?), return to Denver and home.
