Winter Activity Posted Dec 30, 2011 The Breckenridge Snow Sculpture activity will be held on January 29, 2012. We will meet at Sofa Mart, 6th Ave. and Kipling at 8:45 a.m. and leave at 9:00 a.m. Hope this will help us beat the ski traffic. We will go to Breckenridge, find a spot to park and enjoy some lunch. After lunch, we will enjoy the sculptures then head home. We have done this before and the sculptures were quite beautiful and it is amazing to see what some talented people can do with a big block of snow. See you there. Happy New Year to all. I hope that 2012 is a great year for everyone. Kickstand. 2012 will be the 22nd year of International Snow Sculpture Championships. The Sculptures "live" in the area around the Riverwalk Center grounds at 150 West Adams Avenue, Breckenridge, CO 80424. We welcome visitors from beginning to the end of this free event (January 24 - February 4, 2012). Artists sculpt from Tuesday, January 24 at 11:00 a.m. until Saturday, January 28 at 10:00 a.m., judging is at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 28, the awards ceremony is at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 29 and sculptures will remain standing weather permitting until the night of Sunday, February 4, 2012 (until approx. 11:00 p.m.).
